EAT chipotle every day (well almost, every day)

Be nice. Create cool things. Eat Chipotle. These three things are my keys to success. The first two are mandatory for making the most out of every day, but add Chipotle to the mix and now we’re cooking. My best creativity can be found after scarfing down a burrito bowl with added guac — I’m convinced that gives me the creative edge. My passion to enjoy the simple things in life and expressing my creativity are what fuel my purpose.

more about me

Being an integral part of building a brand, from ideation to execution, is what wakes me up every morning and sometimes keeps me up at night (that and coffee). I am passionate about helping brands leave a lasting impact on their audience and have an eye for developing meaningful campaigns. This is what fuels my desire as a Creative Director.

I love living in Kansas City (Go Chiefs!) and when I first moved here, I was running my own clothing line specializing in graphic tees. After doing design work for a friend at Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City and learning more about their support of the KC community I knew I wanted to help make a difference.

I began working at BBBSKC in 2011, as the Graphics and Communications Manager. Originally, the focus of my role was to create social media content, email campaigns and newsletters. Shortly thereafter, my focus shifted to all things branding. This evolution created an incredible opportunity for me to step into the new Creative Director role.

As Creative Director over the past 8 years, I was able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to create award-winning campaigns and events that were essential in funding the agency’s operating costs and volunteer recruitment. Fast forward a few years and BBBSKC gained national attention from other BBBS agencies showcasing my brand identity work. This was quite humbling and allowed me to work directly with Barkley advertising agency to help transform an agency-to-agency focus to one that unified all of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America agencies.

When I am not working on the next big campaign or fueling my creativity with a fully loaded burrito bowl, I am constantly seeking opportunities to grow, while enjoying the simple things in life.

Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!
